At 734 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Huntington Bay to near Cold Spring Harbor, moving
east at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Norwalk Islands, Baxter Estates, Long Neck Point, Stamford Harbor,
Captain Harbor, Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington Bay, Hempstead Harbor,
Saddle Rock, and Little Neck Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, high waves, lightning, and heavy rain
are expected with these storms. If caught on the open water stay
below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects.
